Lenora Addison-Miles, administrator for the Engineers and Surveyors at the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation presented very informative statistics regarding the engineering community in South Carolina at the ACEC-SC/SCSPE Winter Meeting on February 26, 2014.
Addison-Miles received her B.A. in Public Affairs from Columbia College, and her M.B.A. from South University. She began her state government career with the Residential Builders Commission in 1994, prior to government restructuring.
Throughout her years at LLR, Addison-Miles has worked with several licensing program areas, including the Board of Nursing, Engineers and Surveyors, Building Codes (Barrier Free Design/Modular programs), as well as serving as administrative coordinator for the Health and Medically Related Boards, where she was responsible for accounts payable, purchasing, and human resource liaison functions.
She served as the administrator for the Auctioneers’, Foresters, and Geology boards for 12 years, and the Environmental Certification board for four years. She currently serves as administrator for the Engineers and Surveyors, Architects, Landscape Architects, and Soil Classifier programs.
