Matt Lifsey, P.E. Named President of OLH, Inc.

April 28, 2014

OLH Inc., a leading project and construction management firm, is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Matt Lifsey, P.E. as President of the company and a member of the ownership team effective April 1, 2014. Mr. Lifsey joins the firm with a wealth of experience within the industry, having served the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) in various management capacities over the last 24 years. He will work from the firm’s Columbia, SC office, and his new role at OLH Inc. will include overseeing day-to-day company operations, strategic growth and development of OLH Inc.’s entry into engineering and design development, and business development for the firm.

“I am excited to join OLH Inc., a well-respected company with a reputation for high quality and performance in the industry,” said Mr. Lifsey. “I am impressed with the company’s steady growth over the past few years, and I look forward to leading OLH Inc. into their next chapter.”
Mr. Lifsey’s distinguished career at SCDOT included serving as the Lowcountry Regional Production Engineer, overseeing the project management and highway plan production for all transportation improvements in the seven-county Lowcountry region of the state since 2007. In addition to these duties, he also supervised the procurement of all design-build projects statewide since 2011. Prior to these roles, he worked as a sub-head in the SCDOT’s Preconstruction Department for over 11 years, managing staffs as large as 90 engineers and technicians.

His many accomplishments at the SCDOT consisted of the project management and oversight of some of the largest and most complex infrastructure improvement projects in South Carolina. In addition to his project experience, Mr. Lifsey also oversaw the development and implementation of the following standards for the SCDOT: Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Program and CADD Standards, Survey Manual, and Best Practices for Design-Build.

Mr. Lifsey is a graduate of Clemson University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina. He plans to bring his expertise in program and project management, scheduling, financing, and transportation plan production to OLH Inc. to expand the firm’s services. “As our firm continues to grow, we are excited to welcome Matt and his industry knowledge and project experience to OLH Inc. We remain committed to our superior client service and look forward to offering our clients additional services as a total solutions engineering and construction management firm,” remarked Gina Bennett, CEO.
