Good morning. I hope you all had a good Monday and enjoyed the hot South Carolina weekend. Unfortunately, it was another weekend amid the global pandemic that South Carolina set a record number of single-day cases, and a child under the age of five passed away due to the Coronavirus.
As South Carolina approaches 1,000 deaths due to COVID-19, as of Monday, July 13, 2020, South Carolina has 58,003 confirmed cases of the virus, and 961 South Carolinians have lost their lives. Nationwide numbers continue to increase with the CDC reporting 3,296,599 cases and 134,884 deaths.
