Contact Your Senator and Ask for Funding for the
State’s Roads and Bridges
The General Assembly has been in session for about a month, and addressing funding for roads and bridges has been limited to filing legislation, but not action has taken place.
Before other major issues pick up steam and before the State Budget is finalized, every South Carolinian should contact their senators and ask for road and bridge funding.
Legislators know the need; they the incentive to act. They may tell you it is an election year and raising funds is not popular, but tell them the deplorable roads are not popular either. Call and ask your senator to be a part of the solution to find funds for our means to getting to work, church, school and our means of transporting our goods and services.
Go to http://www.scstatehouse.net/cgi-bin/zipcodesearch.exe put in your zip code and let your senator know the state’s need for more transportation funds.
Always be respectful and don’t threaten your elected officials. Sugar is better the vinegar. |
