Fauteux Elected American Council of Engineering Companies of SC Chair

RickRick Fauteux, PE, HDR was elected Chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina (ACEC-SC) at its annual meeting in June.

Fauteux also served as ACEC-SC’s Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and Board Member, and currently serves on  the ACEC-SC / SCDOT partnering Committee.  Fauteux is currently on the ACEC National Membership Committee.

He is a graduate of University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Engineering and received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University.  He has registered in Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina where he resides in Charleston.

Fauteux is currently Associate Vice President and Project Engineer at HDR, Inc in  North Charleston, SC.   With over 21 years of experience he is also currently serving as the Atlantic Region Bridge Leader for HDR.   Fauteux provides operational guidance and oversight to HDR’s bridge programs in seven states in the southeast.  He served as a bridge manager, leading structural design efforts on multi-discipline traditional and design build projects for the past 16 years.  Fauteux is great at managing transportation projects, and has been actively involved in design build pursuits across the country.

The American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina is a trade association representing 74 engineering firms employing more than 2,600 engineers, architects, surveyors, scientists and support staff.

ACEC-SC’s mission is to promote and protect the business interests and professional standards of engineers in the state of South Carolina; and to improve member firm’s ability to profitably provide quality services to their clients.
